Is "The Green Inferno" Eli Roth's goriest film to date?

According to IMDB; The Green Inferno's plot is:
 "A group of student activists travel from New York City to the Amazon to save a dying tribe but crash in the jungle and are taken hostage by the very natives they protected.."

———————————————————————————–

Whenever I think of Eli Roth, I instantly think of movies like the Hostel series, and Inglorious Basterds. However, it seems Eli Roth is making a new film: called "The Green Inferno" [released in theaters September 8th, 2013].and this time, it isn't people paying to kill but cannibals! I am a pretty big fan of the Hostel films, especially the surprise ending of Hostel;Part II so it's safe to say that I'm pretty excited for what he has in store for us with some people eating people scenes. But I'm here to say that the MPAA [Motion Picture Association of America] has said that the violence in The Green Inferno film is “aberrant.” Which is a fancy word meaning, “departing from an accepted standard.” This must be a one hell of a gory film, as opposed to his earlier work since not even the Hostel films gained that description.. To use the words from the TIFF themselves: [The Toronto International Film Festival]
 "Check out Roth’s past MPAA scorecards. His violence started as “strong,” then went to “brutal,” then “sadistic,” and finally to The Green Inferno’s particularly evocative “aberrant.” That’s called “growing as a filmmaker.”

[One of the first pictures released for 'The Green Inferno']

Ultimately, the official rating the MPAA gave the film was a strong [ R ]. 'For aberrant violence and torture, grisly disturbing images, brief graphic nudity, sexual content, language and some drug use.'  Don't get me wrong, I'm excited for this film, but it seems safe to assume that the film is going to be a fucking splatter-fest.. and that those cannibals are going to be taking their time with each and every one of the students..

The 30 Question "HORROR LOVER CHALLENGE" [Part 6 of 6]

So here it is, the final part to my version of LiZZYizTWIZTid's "30 QUESTION HORROR LOVER CHALLENGE". We've gone through questions such as 'best impalement' to 'favorite serial killer.' Whatever you like, this 30 question 'challenge' has it. [if you missed a part, here's a few quick links to part 1, part 2, part 3, part 4, and part 5] I must say [and in fact I think I did say in one of the other parts] this challenge was a lot of fun to put together- it made for a lot of blog space, and not only that, but it got me to actually think about the genre I love enough to actually think about some things I didn't consider [what was my favorite version of Jason Voorhees? I never really thought about that until Part 5..] However, if I'm to do this kind of thing again- I will make sure ahead of time that it isn't 30 questions long.. more like 5 to 10. [which would actually all fit in one post- as opposed to being split up into 6 parts..]

 ———————————————————————————–

26) A HORROR YOU CAN'T WAIT TO SEE;
http://nerdrepository.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/08/youre-next-screening-poster.jpg
You're Next.
Since I first saw the trailer for this, I figured it was going to be like every other home invasion film, with the whole family getting trapped in their own home and a bunch of people torturing them one by one. However, when I was at Chapter's the other day- I was glancing through the latest issue of Fangoria, and they were actually showing some behind the scenes and even small screenshots from the film which quickly got me stoked for this movie, and easily changed my mind about the movie as a whole.

———————————————————————————–
27) BEST BEHEADING;
http://deadlymovies.files.wordpress.com/2010/11/day-of-the-dead-decapitation.jpg
DAY OF THE DEAD.
this particular scene is pretty intense. I mean, the guy almost gets away, until all the zombies crowd around him and slowly rip at his neck until his head is quite literally removed away from his body. [see the clip here] It doesn't help that the one zombie is holding him in place by his eyes either.. But it does go to show how good Tom Savini's special effects hold true to the zombie genre- especially for this being from the 1980s.

———————————————————————————–

 28) FAVORITE B-MOVIE HORROR;

http://spinoff.comicbookresources.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/10/bruce-campbell-bubba-hotep.jpg
Bubba Ho-Tep.
I had a few choices in mind when it comes to B-MOVIE films. But, I naturally had to go with Bubba Ho-Tep. If you haven't seen it, it's basically about an [aging] Elvis Presley- played by none other than the chin himself, Bruce Campbell- and a [black] John F. Kennedy. These two [very unlikely] heroes find themselves up against a 3000 year old redneck Mummy [yes, like Egyptian Mummy..] who is feeding on the souls of the elderly people in their retirement home. if that doesn't sound pretty fucking fantastic to you, I don't know what to tell you.. This movie is so bad, it's good!

———————————————————————————–

 29) MOST RIGHTEOUS KILLER;
https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjZYNcexJk7gjuxYnQHxlFLVhHX3C7hW6g9B85E5k3Kjz8UZQTRtM3T4d9SAMWbQ5SxPgYmtYdHhiOCjhyu5Ic4FdXbHHbffUwQJFwbqQdft3eaArqxNv2xIt1FE2HBjSsPKbE8NYOhGnE/s1600/john-kramer-jigsaw.jpg
John Kramer - SAW.
NOTE: before I go into why I chose him, please be aware I do not condone what he does, I realize he's a fictional character- but I'm just saying don't go and do it because I said it's okay.. because it's not. at all. [and now we continue] I had to go with John Kramer because he believes he's doing good in the world by ridding those who are deemed evil. To use a quote he says in one of the SAW films, he's never actually killed anyone. He puts his 'subjects' into situations where they can free themselves..from themselves. If they live- great, they passed- if not; well, then they didn't learn from their mistake[s]. Remember I chose JOHN KRAMER for my answer here.. NOT Hoffman!

———————————————————————————–

 30) HORROR WITH AN ENDING YOU DIDN'T EXPECT TO HAPPEN;
http://shenanitims.files.wordpress.com/2012/04/hostel-2-she-wins.png
HOSTEL: PART II.
Now, I'm not going to spoil it - because I know some [specific] readers probably haven't seen the movie yet, plus what would be the fun in that? Therefore, I'm not wanting to make any assumptions so I'll leave it at saying that the end of Hostel: Part II had an ending I really didn't expect. [at least, you know, during my first watching..] All I'll say is that it involves the woman in the picture above. not the guy. Feel free to look it up, just know that I didn't ruin it for you..

———————————————————————————–
 So there we have it; all 6 parts have been completed. I believe we covered everything- from decapitations, to horror music, to even favorite actors being slaughtered in film! What was your favorite question/response? What kinds of answers would you put if you were to do this 'challenge'? Let me know
in the comment section below! Be sure to 'like' the fan page for Firework Eyes & Haunted Hearts on Facebook; which you can find here, or even follow me on Twitter. The 30 Question "HORROR LOVER CHALLENGE" [Part 5 of 6]

So here we are.. the beginning of the end. Let's waste NO TIME and get to this second last part of the 30 Question Horror Lover Challenge. So for this part I get to do Questions #21 to #25 before the grand finale which will be coming out shortly after this post!

 ———————————————————————————–

21) BEST FAMILY IN HORROR;
http://images3.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20090803035928/devilsrejects/images/f/fc/Firefly.gif
[rest in peace, Matthew McGrory - who played Tiny. as seen in the middle of the photo above.]

The Firefly Family - House Of 1000 Corpses & The Devil's Rejects.
 I [naturally] had to choose the Fireflys just because of their nature. I mean, sure they're sick, crazy, and disturbed- but I find that makes them all the more lovable.. I suppose it doesn't help that I actually really enjoyed both The Devil's Rejects & House Of 1000 Corpses films.

———————————————————————————–

22) WORST RECENT HORROR MOVIE YOU'VE SEEN;
http://viewerscommentary.files.wordpress.com/2011/10/jackie-earl-haley-as-freddy-krueger.jpg
A Nightmare On Elm Street [remake] - 2010
I've said it before, and I'm going to say it again. I absolutely love the original NOES films! [the complete box-set I own is one of my more prized possessions] however, upon seeing this remake, I felt disgusted with the idea that I was actually watching this. I wasn't fond of this remake at all. Freddy was so different that it wasn't fun anymore- more sickening. It also didn't help that Freddy looked like a slippery fish out of water. [NOTE; I really like Jackie Earl Haley as an actor- he was FANTASTIC in Watchmen, but I wasn't happy with his rendition of one of my favorite horror characters.]

———————————————————————————–

 23) FAVORITE 1970'S HORROR;
https://www.stanwinstonschool.com/ckeditor_assets/pictures/753/content_halloween-michael-meyers.jpg?1351274306
HALLOWEEN - 1978
This one is just obvious as to why I chose it. It's a classic, it's fucking Michael Myers and it's just an all around fun horror flick to watch, every time. 10 / 10. easily.

———————————————————————————–

 24) FAVORITE HORROR THEME SONG;
http://choualbox.com/Img/13710382684.jpeg
SAW series- Charlie Clouser's "Hello Zepp.." [click here for Youtube link]
I feel that this song [instrumental] captures the creepiness and the atmosphere of SAW perfectly. Especially considering near the end, it intensifies to the point of feeling like something is getting closer to your face!

———————————————————————————–
 25) BEST VERSION OF JASON VOORHEES;
http://eddieraysmoviereviews.files.wordpress.com/2010/10/270379_1249345354425_375_300.jpg
Friday The 13th Part VII: The New Blood.
I think I preferred this version of Jason specifically because of his looks.. It's when he's FINALLY starting to wither away [I mean, the guy doesn't really die if you think about it..] and possibly stay dead. The only complaint I have is he's brought back to life [siiiigh..] by a psychic little girl who's trying to bring her dead father back to the land of the living! Little bit of a stretch, isn't it?

———————————————————————————–
 Hard to believe I'm going to be done this list in the post! Please be aware that this part WAS supposed to be done [and posted]  yesterday but something came up, and I had only enough time to finish half. GRAND FINALE [part 6 out of 6] IS GOING TO BE TYPED AND POSTED in about an hour! Stay Classy Everyone!

The 30 Question "HORROR LOVER CHALLENGE" [Part 4 of 6]

Holy wow.. We are already at part 4 [out of 6] of the 'horror lover challenge' and I'm finding out pretty fast that some of these questions can be challenging! [but- I suppose that's the point.] Feel free to follow along with the question list, which I have re-posted down below.

http://i108.photobucket.com/albums/n34/mortis45/FreddyInSpace3/Freddy4/challenge2_zpseeeb1974.jpg
Getting closer and closer to the end of the list..
———————————————————————————–

16) BEST THROAT SLICING;

Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber Of Fleet Street.
Like I mentioned in one of last posts, I actually liked Sweeney Todd as a film- [although I think this is a bias opinion, being a big Tim Burton/Johnny Depp fan and all..] However, this isn't the exact throat slicing I was thinking of.. but I suppose it'll have to do. [they're all good- more specifically; the final one at the end.]

———————————————————————————–

17) FAVORITE SEQUEL TO A HORROR;
Evil Dead II: Dead By Dawn.
I've said it before, and I'll say it again. I love the original Evil Dead trilogy, and Evil Dead II is no exception. Especially because it can technically be classified as a remake of the first with a cleaner story being told, more of a budget to work with, and Ash being pretty damn bad-ass.

———————————————————————————–

 18) BEST HORROR MOVIE IN THE WOODS;

The Cabin In The Woods.
When I first watched this movie, I didn't overly understand what was happening. I understood the idea, and I caught onto all the cliches from other horrors [a few from 'Evil Dead'  impressed me.], but that's all I got. It wasn't until the second time watching, that I realized how smart the film is as a whole; and how fantastic the world Joss Whedon had created in The Cabin In The Woods truly is.

———————————————————————————–

 19) AN ACTOR YOU ENJOYED TO WATCH GET MURDERED;
http://cdn04.cdn.gofugyourself.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/06/elmstreet1-e1370842468283.jpg
Johnny Depp - A Nightmare On Elm Street.
there I go, fan-girling [I'm pretty sure that 'fan-boying' isn't an actual term..] over Johnny Depp. Although I love him, he had to die sometime in his feature film. I enjoyed his scene[s] in ANOES, especially his death scene because it was so much different than Freddy's other kills. [creative- yet enjoyable to see on screen] Protip- if you haven't seen the movie, he basically gets dragged into his bed and get spurted out like a fountain of blood.. good stuff, Wes Craven!

———————————————————————————–

  20) MOST ATTRACTIVE HORROR MOVIE KILLER;
http://horrorpediadotcom.files.wordpress.com/2013/03/hostelpartii03.png
Mrs. Bathory - Hostel: Part II.
Although she's technically only really around for about a 5 minute scene, this one scene in which Mrs. Bathory is in, is quite the visual experience. I won't ruin it, but I will say that I am usually perfectly fine with seeing people being tortured in horror films, but nothing amounts to how much I felt the need to cringe while watching her 'bloodbath' of a scene. [on the plus side, you get full frontal nudity from the actress!]
———————————————————————————–

It seems we're being to come close to the end of the 30 question challenge. With another 5 questions down, we only have 2 more parts until all 30 are answered. Join me in the next post for part 5; which will answer questions 21 to 25.

The 30 Question "HORROR LOVER CHALLENGE" [Part 3 of 6]

WELCOME BACK ! so I am not going to delay, and I'm going to continue my version of The 30 Question "HORROR LOVER CHALLENGE"  If you missed part 1, you can read it here, and part 2 is found here so without getting off topic too quickly, let's get down to part 3 [out of 6]!
 ———————————————————————————–

11) THE MOST DITZY CHARACTER;
http://www.horror-extreme.com/Content/images/slasher-anti-heroes/chucky-2.jpg
Chucky - Child's Play.
I don't know what it is, but I've never really been a huge Chucky fan.. I feel that the idea of a creepy toy becoming a killer [okay okay, his soul was attached to the doll..] is cool, but the fact that the Child's Play films ultimately ended up parodying themselves? too much for me. I just feel he's ridiculously lame. Just me?

———————————————————————————–

 12) FAVORITE HORROR MOVIE FROM THE PAST YEAR;
http://gnnaz.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/02/sinister_m.jpg
Sinister.
Ask me a year ago [when I got this movie for my birthday], and I would have said this movie was going to be terrible just because of the fact that the creators of Paranormal Activity were attached. [I enjoy the films, but I'm getting tired of the whole 'haunting' films.] However, Stephanie and I finally decided to give in and watch it and we were pleasantly surprised at how good it actually was. I gotta say, it was so much more than just a typical haunting film. [I also did a review on this film- which can be found here]

———————————————————————————–
 13) BEST IMPALEMENT;
http://api.ning.com/files/UIN-RMiq*LSsxJ6mK32s0X6q02Wk9Rk7prcZoAvGSxizVFPlJpkWf*2h1h2rr72-q80syBWfnR5yfR0mtCpDcHNBaodM1xdf/CannibalHolocaustimpale.jpg
Cannibal Holocaust.
I'm gonna take an answer right off of FreddyInSpace itself, and say what he said on this question; "Do I even need to answer this one?"

———————————————————————————–

14) KILLER WHO HAS THE BEST WEAPON;
https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgWth3wV67DDb-0iO78aKUT5Vf7uQKZyrYZvN38wY5DctpTsE_no_cxZEJCMWrqfQXjsQR1apoCzj8OKBhTbjeuPCWq9nQ2qc49qiPmtxRAsOmrkjpvI_Oanz_X1PfzASswFNUZPEi98Zj6/s1600/evil-dead-ash-with-chainsaw-arm.jpg
Ash's Chainsaw Arm - Evil Dead II/Army Of Darkness.
Considering Evil Dead is one of my favorite films ever, I felt this is appropriate. Freddy's from A Nightmare On Elm Street glove would have been okay too as those movies were my first introduction to horror! THANK YOU FREDDY FOR ALL THE NIGHTMARES & FUN!
———————————————————————————–

15) A HORROR LOVE-STORY;
 http://www.reelgood.com.au/wp-content/uploads/2013/04/4.jpg
 Let The Right One In.
Although there was an American remake, don't jump to get angrytoo quick- surprisingly, it's pretty close to the original! [yay for remakes that don't suck!] This is one of those movies that I can watch over and over, and still find new reasons to love it. It involves a young girl- who is actually a vampire- and a young boy, who is slowly falling in love with her. so damn adorable. [writer's note: this film fits into the "I STRONGLY RECOMMEND IT!" category.]

———————————————————————————–
would you look at that! We're actually half way done this list! [only 15 more questions to go!]  I hope you're enjoying reading my responses as I am typing them out! Join me in the next post for part 4; which will answer questions 16 to 20!

The 30 Question "HORROR LOVER CHALLENGE" [Part 2 of 6]

I'm going to make this opening as short and sweet as possible so I'm just gonna get to the point. I promised, so I am going to have to continue my version of The 30 Question "HORROR LOVER CHALLENGE" written and created by none other than LiZZYizTWIZTid! If you missed part 1, you can read it here, so without further delay, let's get down to part 2 [out of 6]!

 photo challenge2_zpseeeb1974.jpg
[I also re-posted the list of questions above, in case you missed it before]

———————————————————————————–

6) FAVORITE WOMAN IN THE WORLD OF HORROR;
 Danielle Harris - Hatchet II, Hatchet III. [Also, Elvira.]
This lovely lady gets my praise because of Hatchet II. [I haven't seen Hatchet III yet..] She's extremely cute, she's funny, and most of all- she's pretty damn bad-ass.. I mean, she goes after VICTOR CROWLEY for crying out loud! that's tougher than I'll ever be. Elvira makes this list because obviously you can't mention horror women and not mention her. She will always be near the top of the list.

———————————————————————————–

7) A HORROR YOU'D BE IN;
 http://www.andyerupts.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/09/stayalive.jpg
STAY ALIVE.
I feel that this one goes without saying. As most people know, I love playing video games [I've been playing them since I was a kid, and still have the infatuation of a Nintendo controller in my hands]. In the movie, the main group of friends get together when a [very] underground game is released to a few people and a guy dies in the same fashion he did in the game he was playing last.. that game? STAY ALIVE! [I felt that it was one of those movies that was good but could have been so much more. agree? disagree?]

———————————————————————————–

8) FAVORITE ALIEN-RELATED HORROR MOVIE;

John Carpenter's THE THING.
Is there really a choice in the matter? This will always be my favorite alien horror flick- Alien [and all it's sequels] was good, but I often turn to The Thing if I want true alien horror fun.

———————————————————————————–

9) BEST HORROR TV SERIES;

American Horror Story.
I've ranted about this show on and on and on.. SO WATCH IT! Especially the eeriness that was the second season [American Horror Story; Asylum]. Though, I stand with the first season being the best- just because that's what lured me into the fucked up world of Ryan Murphy. [the creator of American Horror Story- who oddly enough is the co-creator of Glee? DON'T LET THAT THROW YOU OFF FROM WATCHING!]

———————————————————————————–

10) A SERIAL KILLER YOU HATE;

John Wayne Gacy.
Now I'm not saying I like all other serial killers- they are bad, and 'bad' is a terrible word to use because they are so so so much more than that- but I do find them fascinating to read about and the way they think. [can you tell I was in school for psychology for 2 years?] The one I dislike the most however is the man above- I won't go into detail [Google it if you want- I'll leave that to you.] but it doesn't help that he'd dress as a clown; considering my fear of them.. ugh.

———————————————————————————–
So there you have it- another 5 questions down. I'm actually really enjoying myself doing these; So I may have to find other 'challenges' to follow. [maybe not as long as 30 questions next time..] Join me in the next post for part 3; which will answer questions 11 to 15.

The 30 Question "HORROR LOVER CHALLENGE" [Part 1 of 6]

 photo challenge2_zpseeeb1974.jpg

Inspired by none other than FreddyInSpace, I figured I should throw my own little spin on @LiZZYizTWIZTid's horror lover challenge list. I assumed if I did this, I'd get to put perspective on my thoughts of horror in general, and it would show my love for the genre. Also, because there is a whopping 30 questions, and I really don't want a big list going on for an eternity [all in one big post], I'm going to do this in six parts- 5 answers per post.

SO WITHOUT FURTHER HESITATION, LET'S GET TO IT!

1) SCARIEST KID CHARACTER IN A HORROR MOVIE;

http://thepollyannafragments.files.wordpress.com/2011/12/the-unborn.jpg
Barto - The Unborn.
I remember when I first watched The Unborn and as soon as this guy shows up, I couldn't look away. Something about the way he looks with those icy blue eyes, and clearly noticeable veins sets me on edge..fucking creepy, almost reminds me of Ramon Salazar in Resident Evil 4 [the game]!

 ———————————————————————————–
2) BEST SEX SCENE MURDER;

http://fullmoonhorror.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/02/American_Psycho_Chainsaw_Scene1.jpg
Patrick Bateman & the girls- American Psycho.
The chainsaw scene is one of the best scenes in the entire film, if you were to pick just one. [I also like the 'Try and get a reservation at Dorsia now!' line] I mean, as we see Patrick Bateman becoming more & more crazy, we get this change in scenery from sexy to sadistic. First the viewer gets to try to figure out what is going on under those bedroom sheets, [some kind of threesome, perhaps?] and then suddenly, out comes the chainsaw. He then drops the damn chainsaw [while it's running, mind you] and then the grand finale. It's perfectly disgusting with the just the right mix of disturbing..
———————————————————————————–

3) CREEPIEST DEAD BODY;

http://www.gorestruly.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/12/American_Horror_Story_20.jpg
Dead girl in closet - The Ring.
I think I speak for all of us, when I mention THIS body from The Ring. Every time I see this movie, I feel uneasy just staring at this young girl- in a school uniform- just glaring at me with those dead eyes.. creepy

———————————————————————————–

4) A HORROR MUSICAL YOU ENJOY;

http://lostnwonderland.files.wordpress.com/2012/04/ash.jpg
Repo: The Genetic Opera. [also- Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber Of Fleet Street]
I don't know why this movie got such hate from horror fans. I actually found myself to really enjoy it with it's quirky atmosphere and songs. I'm usually not one for musicals, but the songs kept the story in line; and ultimately had me more intrigued.. As for Sweeney Todd however, that gets mentioned as well because I'm a huge Tim Burton fan, and being as it was set in Victorian London, it won me over almost instantly.

———————————————————————————–

 5) FUNNIEST HORROR MOVIE CHARACTER;

http://images.wikia.com/deadliestfiction/images/6/6d/Captain_Spaulding.jpg
Captain Spaulding - House Of 1000 Corpses & The Devil's Rejects.
Call me terrible, or even creepy [especially since I have a fear of clowns]- but Captain Spaulding is one character who makes me laugh, even at times when you're not really supposed to ["Come on kid, don'tcha like clowns? Don't we make ya fuckin' laugh?!" - House Of 1000 Corpses.] Doesn't matter what way you look at it- although he's batshit crazy- Spaulding is a fun character to watch be played out in both House Of 1000 Corpses and The Devil's Rejects.

———————————————————————————–
and there you have it. My first 5 answers to the 30 Question Horror Lover Challenge. Join me tomorrow for my part 2; which will answer questions 6 to 10.

Time to hit up the old rumor mill!

http://www.hdwallpapers.in/walls/hugh_jackman_as_wolverine-wide.jpg

  • Hugh Jackman and his contract to play as Wolverine [obviously] to continue;
Although Hugh Jackman hasn't officially been attached to X-Men:Days Of Future's Past, it's pretty obvious that the iconic Wolverine will make at least a cameo in the film. [anyone remember his cameo in X-Men: First Class?] It'd be safe to assume it's only fair that after all these work outs and keeping big/muscular-like for the X-Men films that he has to do [to keep the character looking buff] he'd probably want some kind of break.. [I know I would!] However, Rumor seems to have it, from the [very]questionable source known as National Enquirer that Fox has reportedly offered a $100 million deal to Mr. Jackman to continue to play his iconic role an additional four times after X-Men: Days of Future Past. Given the fact that Jeff Wadlow is developing an X-FORCE film, [read my thoughts on this news here] and Fox consultant Mark Millar has been teasing a major announcement about the future of the X-Men franchise within two years, it's pretty safe to assume it'd be good to want to secure Jackman's role in for the future. Question is Will he continue playing Wolverine or could he become the Ultimate Marvel Comics version of the time-travelling mutant Cable? Time will tell..

———————————————————————————–

 http://cdn.fansided.com/wp-content/blogs.dir/277/files/2013/08/Carnage1.jpg
  • Jim Carrey POSSIBLY playing Carnage in Amazing Spider-Man reboot[s]?
This is one of the more questionable ones [hence why it's a rumor rather than fact].. but it seems to be that Jim Carrey could be playing none other than Cletus Kasady who is more commonly known to comic fans as CARNAGE! [as seen above] The one thing that makes this kind of strange is knowing that earlier this year, Jim Carrey talked about how he regrets being part of Kick-Ass 2 due to the ultra violent nature. HOWEVER! For those unaware, Carnage is extremely violent; more so than Colonel Stars&Stripes![Carrey's role in Kick-Ass 2] He is a psychotic criminal, who spent [a lot of] time at Ravencroft and when Venom's spawn used him as a host, he became the terrifying villain known only as Carnage. With a Venom script that was written years ago and Sony interested in the character whether or not Jim Carrey is part of those plans remains to be known. This is why I think it's questionable. Jim Carrey stated he regrets Kick-Ass 2 because of the violence, and yet there is a chance he's playing someone more violent? ..strange indeed.
———————————————————————————–
http://hollywoodvideo.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/07/batman-superman-fight.jpg
  • Wait! so who's playing Batman, then?
Arguably one of [if not]the biggest announcement to have come out of Comic-Con 2013 was Zack Snyder's on-stage announcement that his sequel to Man of Steel would include none other than The Dark Knight himself: Batman! The only catch here is Christian Bale has confirmed on more than a couple occasions that his time playing Bruce Wayne is long over.. Naturally, this means that rumors and reports are running around trying to find candidates that Snyder, Warner Bros. and DC Entertainment all approve of to wear The Dark Knight's signature cape and cowl. According to London's Express website, who have been hyping up the British invasion of American superheroes [this includes the idea of the likes of Andrew Garfield playing Peter Parker and/or Henry Cavill as Clark Kent], they seem to claim that their source at over at Warner Bros. is looking at none other than Orlando Bloom- so naturally, another British man- as the [current] top contender to play Batman with Henry Cavill as Superman and Orlando Bloom may even get the role before they do a casting call!

If you remember back earlier last year, I talked about how insane this show really is. I instantly became an “American Horror Story” fan, and dove into the first [and second] seasons with pure joy. It's absolutely one of the greatest pieces of television in the sense that it's got drama and horror. I was already finding myself looking forward to October 9th as that's when the [third] season premiere of “American Horror Story: coven” is being released. This being the third season of Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk’s horror anthology TV series promises to be fucking crazy considering the title of the first three episodes [more on those in a minute], plus the fact that this show is always out of its mind. [do I have to remind you of "American Horror Story; Asylum"?! now that's horror TV!] Ryan Murphy has also already released the names of the first episodes which I happen to have mentioned here for you;
  • Season 3, Episode 01 – “Bitchcraft” [which will air on October 9th 2013]
  • Season 3, Episode 02 – “Boy Parts”[which will air on October 16th 2013]
  • Season 3, Episode 03 – “The Replacements” [which will air on October 23th 2013]

Also, the website Vulture reported that Ryan Murphy explained in an interview the following-
 “The witches of Salem, the smart ones, got out very early and they were none of the ones who were burned. They all gravitated toward New Orleans, where they now live, and every generation has a great witch who has the most powers of them all, and that’s called the Supreme. Jessica Lange is The Supreme. These witches are really sort of a great allegory and metaphor for any minority group that has been persecuted and has had to go underground and, finally, is like, ‘You know what? Dammit, no. We’re fighting back,’ so that’s what they do. Fight back.."

Check out the teaser –“Detention”– below.
