American Horror Story reveals it's 4th season theme!

http://i1.ytimg.com/vi/NGOdKxnENVs/maxresdefault.jpg

Last week, American Horror Story writer Douglas Petrie took to Twitter saying the overall 'theme' for the fourth season of the show would take place at a carnival. “We just started season 4,” he said before confirming that the setting will in fact be carnival-themed, “Yes, it does not have a title. That’s the idea, very roughly that’s the idea.”

But now, Ryan Murphy has confirmed a title; and it's gonna be called Freakshow, showing that fans weren't entirely wrong when they assumed "Circus" would be the theme. [either way, I'm suspecting clowns from this season. and I hate clowns!] The only other details that we're aware of at the moment is that the series will take place in the 1950s [probably due to the idea of the 'freakshow sideshows' of the 50s] and that [the wonderful] Jessica Lange will return with a German accent. Unfortunately, this season has also been marked  as her last appearance on American Horror Story - the series. Knowing that Jessica Lange will be gone after this season sucks, I know - I love her too!

[probably one of the scariest fake poster for 'American Horror Story: Circus' I've seen.]

I guess this means I need to play catch up. I haven't seen any of Coven yet- but I loved the first two seasons. and now we're getting Freakshow? I'm sold! I can only imagine the ideas the fucked up mind of Ryan Murphy and his writers are going to come up with for this season. I'm fucking stoked. [and I'll be sure to catch up on Coven first!] Will it be as violent/extreme as the last seasons? I certainly hope! As with every season thus far, American Horror Story: Freakshow will begin in October.. and it's gonna be fucking sick!

glad this week is over? Me too, let's RANT! [AKA: I'm apparently possessed..]

[disclaimer: Not until I looked to find this video on Google did I realize I'm posting this on Pat Robertson's birthday.. honestly, this wasn't intentional. Oh well..]

Is anyone else glad this week is [finally] over? I am, I've been working like crazy, and have been on call many a night lately- and I'm finally getting a weekend to myself. [not to mention my birthday tomorrow, but that's another story..] Looking for things to talk about that actually makes me slightly angry has been sparse lately, until I came across a post on Fearnet [original post can be read here] about a Televangelist by the name of Pat Robertson. For those unaware, our friend here Pat is pretty damned convinced that horror films actually allow demons to take over your soul and allow them 'permission' to take over your life. [in an interview- which is posted via YouTube below- he claims that he's heard of this happening before]

"A few years ago I heard about a teenage girl who was demon possessed, and people began to deal with the demon and try to cast it out," he recalled. "And you know what the demon said? 'I had permission.' And the permission was granted when this child had gone to some double-X-rated movie, or whatever it was, and had allowed this thing to come into her."

I mean, seriously? Are people really that ridiculous? I couldn't believe what I was hearing; I've been watching horror films since I was about 11, and I seem to have turned out alright.. at least, I like to think so. [I guess it doesn't help that I work in a funeral home either..my bad.] I decided to dig deeper into this man [big mistake on my part] and I've discovered that he's said a lot more than complain about horror films. As it turns out, he also opposes gay marriage, and prefers to call non-Christians "termites". This man is an fucking outrage!! It truly amazes me that people can be so fucking ignorant.. Don't get me wrong, I'm not religious at all, but I don't slam them for their beliefs- y'know, like this guy seems to do for us horror fans/gays/etc.. points to you, Robertson. /:

Good job there, Pat Robertson, you've pissed off about 90% of the horror community; and probably 100% of gay individuals everywhere. Check out the interview on RWW NEWS with Robertson below- it'll make you upset enough to scream. I guarantee it.

As I [briefly] mentioned above, tomorrow I officially turn 22 [birthday cake for everyone!]; but that's not to say it'll stop me from posting! First look! Lee Hardcastle's 'Spook Train 3D' - his FIRST full length claymation film!

 https://s3.amazonaws.com/ksr/projects/839236/photo-main.jpg?1394446106

Three kids discover the remains of the legendary Spook Train, they’re about to experience why it was shut down by a moral panic. It’s a dark ride with an even darker sense of humor.

———————————————————————————–

If you've heard of Lee Hardcastle, chances are that you've seen 'ABCs Of Death' and are familiar with his short skit called 'T Is For Toilet'. [classy, I know.] It has blood, violence, cursing, and more than anything it was fucking brutal- especially for a claymation short. If you were to check out his Youtube channel [check it out here!], you'd find that he also does a bunch of other shorts- mainly based on horror films such as The Thing, and Evil Dead II ! However, now Hardcastle is preparing for the next big step: to make his first full length feature and it's going to be in full claymation style! [fucking awesome, if you ask me!] It's not going to be easy to make, [I can only imagine how long 'T is For Toilet' took to make..] so he has set up a Kickstarter project to get fans to help with financing the film [click here to donate/buy a ticket!]; the name of this film is none other than 'Spook Train 3D' ! In a video with Lee Hardcastle himself, he claims it's going to be an anthology film and that 'Spook Train 3D' is described as “the world’s first feature length claysplotation.”- which I think is going make this film even more fun than it already looks! [I love me some anthologies!]

Don't forget about Lee's 'T is For Toilet' either! [watch that short here]

Not much has been said about the release of Spook Train, but I urge you to donate even a little sum of money to the film's cause, cause it's looking fucking great!  The trailer [which I've posted below for your viewing purposes] shows us that it'll be a typical Hardcastle short [or in this case; full length film] filled with blood, guts, and violence like you wouldn't believe - and all in 3D!

Don't forget to check out Hardcastle's Youtube channel as well for more claymation goodies! and as always - Be sure to 'like' the fan page for Firework Eyes & Haunted Hearts on Facebook; which you can find here, or even follow me on Twitter.
